Get to know me

Ari is Hebrew for Lion, which I like to use as a username because the letters "RE" sound like "Ari.". I attribute my linguistic curiosity way back to 5 years old when my older brother Joe took the time to teach me how to count to 10 in Spanish. I learned a little Japanese and a year of German in elementary school. I studied Spanish for 3 years, French for 2 years, and German for another year at Ahwahnee Junior High, where I was the editor of the "Ahwahnee Arrow" school newspaper for one year. I also attended the Cantonese club for a year. Then I studied Spanish, French, and German for another 3.5 years at Clovis High School. During my junior year of high school, I also began studying New Testament Greek at Fresno State University, which I did for a year and a half. I then studied New Testament Greek at West Coast Bible College for another 3 years, ultimately becoming Campus Pastor and received my AA Degree in "Biblical Studies". I first learned of the divine design pattern at Liberty University where I, bu the grace of the Almighty Creator, received my Bachelor's Degree in Church Ministries. Then I was honored to receive a Master's Degree in Linguistics at Fresnot State University, during which time I became the Hebrew Lector at the Messianic Congregation "B'nai Yeshua".

My mission

I'm on a mission to search out and find a truly Messiah-centered calendar where BC and AD are a real thing and where there is no clash between passion week and passover week as we see on the Modern Gregorian Calendar.

It is not uncommon for historians to use historical calendars to discuss historical events on timelines, rather than the Modern Gregorian Calendar. What I have done is taken the Roman Republic Calendar, which was brought into Judaea when Roman General Pompey laid seige to Jerusalem in 63 BC. Although the Julian Calendar became the calendar of the Roman Empire at the death of Julius Caesar in 45 BC, the Roman Republic Calendar was not completely banned until the fourth century when Constantine imposed the Julian Saturday for the Jewish Sabbath, despite the fact that Saturdays no longer lined up with any Roman Calendar.

My vision

My vision is to express the beauty of Yeshua's humanity and the brilliance of His divinity through a divine design pattern implied in the first 2 verses of Scripture that shines throughout its entirety. It begins to develop in the first 2 chapters and becomes a sharp image beginning with the first chapter and ending in the last chapters of the B'riyth Hhadeshah, Hebrew for the New Covenant or Testament. The Old Creation Day, the birth of the sky and earth are a type and shadow of the birth of the Messiah. The first seventh day, "Shabbath", Hebrew for Sabbath, is a type and shadow of the New Yerushalayim, Hebrew for Jerusalem. This pattern will influence my personal translation of Scripture as I will be using it to inform its content also taking into account linguistic and cultural differences found in the parametric variations between languages and cultures.
